The St Francis de Sales Parish has been fostering the spiritual, pastoral, educational and social needs of Oak Park for over 50 years. We give thanks to God for His Blessing over this time.

The St Francis de Sales Parish was founded by men and women of strong faith. They worked hard to establish a wonderful parish community, with a fine Church and a strong commitment to Catholic Education for our children.

‘Know that I am with you always, until the end of time‘

Together, we continue to build the Kingdom of God in Oak Park, doing justice to the wonderful Parishioners and Priests who have come before us.

St Francis de Sales takes heart in the beliefs and words of our Patron Saint, St Francis de Sales:

• Have patience with all things but first with yourself.
• Never confuse your mistakes with your value as a human being.
• You’re a perfectly valuable, creative, worthwhile person simply because you exist.
• Bloom where you are planted

Our St Francis de Sales Parish strive to continue his vision.

St Francis de Sales Catholic Primary School is a part of the Parish in every sense and we are dedicated to continuing the vision of St Francis de Sales.

A quote penned by Sr.Virginia Mahony in 1975 in her final Principal’s Report wherein she wrote:

‘Everything that now exists is a product of the past. It is always a mistake to ignore what has gone before. No product of thought or science or technology or art or religion is ever entirely new. We cannot make sense of what is happening now unless we have some understanding of what has preceded it and some sympathy for it all.’
